1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Athlorun ("Athlorun", "we", "us") governing your use of the Athlorun mobile application, website and related services (the "Services"). Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data and forms part of these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use Athlorun. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. You must not use the Services if you are barred from doing so under applicable law.

3. Your account

• You may register with an email address and password or with Google Sign-In. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately at support@athlorun.com if you suspect unauthorised use.
• One person may hold only one account. Accounts are personal and may not be sold, transferred or shared.
• You may delete your account at any time as described on our Account & Data Deletion page.

4. Health & safety disclaimer

• Consult a physician before starting any exercise programme, especially if you are pregnant, have a medical condition, or take medication.
• Stop exercising immediately and seek medical help if you feel pain, faintness, dizziness or shortness of breath.
• Step counts, distance, calories, pace and other metrics are estimates and may be inaccurate.
• Always be aware of your surroundings. Obey traffic laws, do not use the app in a way that distracts you while running, cycling or driving, and do not trespass or enter unsafe areas to complete a challenge.
• You participate in physical activities at your own risk.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• falsify activity data, use step-shaking devices, emulators, GPS spoofing, bots or any other method to manipulate steps, distances, leaderboards, challenges or rewards;
• create multiple accounts or use another person's account;
• upload content that is unlawful, harmful, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, infringing or otherwise objectionable;
• harass, threaten, impersonate or harm other users;
• reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or interfere with the security or operation of the Services, except to the extent permitted by law;
• use the Services for any commercial purpose without our written consent; or
• violate any applicable law or the rights of others.

6. Coins, challenges & rewards

• Athlorun may award virtual coins, badges, points and other in-app rewards ("Rewards") for activity, missions and challenges.
• Rewards have no cash value, are not your property, cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged outside the app (unless we expressly allow it), and may be redeemed only as described in the app.
• We may change, limit, expire or discontinue Rewards, challenges and redemption options at any time, with notice where reasonable.
• We may withhold, cancel or reverse Rewards obtained through errors, fraud, cheating or violation of these Terms, and may suspend the related account.
• Specific challenges or promotions may have additional rules, which will be shown in the app and apply alongside these Terms. Physical or partner rewards are subject to availability and the partner's own terms.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos, text and other content you submit ("Your Content"). You grant Athlorun a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Services to you and, where you choose, to other users. This licence ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except where it has been shared with others who have not deleted it or where retention is required by law. You confirm you have all rights needed to share Your Content.

8. Intellectual property

The Services, including the Athlorun name, logo, design, software, graphics and content (other than Your Content), are owned by Athlorun or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control for your personal, non-commercial use.

9. Third-party services

The Services integrate with third-party services such as Google Sign-In, Firebase, Android Health Connect and map providers. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them. The app is distributed through Google Play, and your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.

10. Purchases

Athlorun is currently free. If we introduce paid features or subscriptions, they will be sold through Google Play Billing, prices will be shown before purchase, and Google Play's refund policies will apply in addition to any rights you have under consumer law. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your Google Play account settings.

11. Suspension & termination

You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, with notice where practicable, if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continuing to provide the Services becomes commercially unviable. On termination, your right to use the Services ends and unredeemed Rewards are forfeited. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 4, 6, 8, 12, 13, 14 and 15) will survive.

12. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that data (including activity metrics) will be accurate or preserved.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Athlorun and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, or any personal injury arising from your physical activities, arising out of or relating to your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) INR 1,000 (or the equivalent in your local currency). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Athlorun harmless from any claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Services, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

15. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence, the courts of India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the Services. Before filing a claim, please contact us at support@athlorun.com so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

16. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you in the app or by email at least 15 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Services after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
